Gone Fishin’

The Cool Kids released a new mixtape yesterday alongside DTP’s Don Cannon. Gone Fishing is a solid release from The Cool Kids. They continue to improve, which is weird to say because they came out so strong, and become a continuously entertaining duo that will hopefully be around for years to come. “Champions” is the best track on the mixtape, with “Jump Rope” ft Tennille being a great collab and along with “The Art of Noise” and “Tune Up” being some of the more mellow and slower paced tracks that The Cool Kids have put out. But I was feeling it, a change of pace from their initial releases that were fast paced and reckless. Check out the mp3s below and make sure to download the mixtape. Enjoy!

  1. Ive been listening to it throughout the morning, some of the tracks sound overproduced, and many seem to follow a “Cool Kids” formula… I think they have to be careful not to pigeonhole themselves into that sound. But there are another handful of really dope tracks and I’m glad to hear a full product of new material. The Don Canon drops everywhere are mad annoying.
