E Reece originally hailing from Maryland but now residing in Los Angeles will release the US version of his album L.I.S.N 2 This Live.In Studio  tomorrow on January 27th 2009. He released a Japanese version back in November 2008 and now an US audience can enjoy his new album.

E Reece’s talent has made some heads take notice but still hasn’t generated enough buzz from the mainstream rap industry.Which is a shame since E Reece brings that old school flavor to his music I think many people are searching for nowadays.

His band Core Elements consists of a revolving group of musicians. Some of which have played with the likes of Mariah Carey and others.

“My live band “Core Elements” is dope and is made up of various talented musicians from LA and beyond. A revolving door on guitar, keys, bass and drums, plus DJ Inka One. You never know who you might see sitting in!”
E Reece

Like the album title suggests it is a live album. Live not in sense of a recorded performance at a venue but recorded with live instrumentation.

L.I.S.N 2 This Live.In.Studio is E Reece’s second full length album. 2007’s ‘A New Breed‘ being his first LP. He also has released two EP’s 2004’s ‘FarEye Vision‘ and 2006’s ‘Next Up”‘.

The album contains 13 strong joints and three remixes to the songs In Love, Mic Check and What U Need respectively. All three original songs appear on this album as well as E Reece previous albums with the exception being What U Need.

The Japanese version of this album contains a remix to Everything and two different remixes to Mic Check & What U Need.

Fans of The Roots,A Tribe called Quest and J Dilla will love E Reece’s jazz flavored Hip Hop. Underground heads should be able feel this as well.

With a nice delivery, good lyricism and a touch NGE references E Reece & The Core Elements have delivered one great album.

“Once they’ve heard my music or seen my live show, I want people to believe in the power of positive music and to know that real hip hop isn’t dead.”
E Reece
