Mula of the group Plato O Plomo (P/O/P) releases his newest solo mixtape, Follow Tha Leader, hosted and mixed by East of LA’s DJ Jimbo Jenkins. For those not familiar with Mula, he hails from Moreno Valley, California or commonly referred to as MoVal or Murda Val, an area known for being musically rich in talent.
Mula’s Follow Tha Leader mixtape consists of a trill, trap sound, but with a peculiar, distinct twist that you’ll hear through Mula’s beat selections, the uniqueness of his voice, as well as his ability to write insanely catchy hooks. Features include P/O/P members Tazzy and Rhistiks, as well as UTB Life$tyle and East of LA’s Speak!.
“The mixing I did on this project is distinguishably more smooth and less gaudy with the use of DJ drops and spin backs compared to a typical trap mixtape. What makes this project remarkable is that, all who have contributed to it, come from the depths of California’s hip hop culture that is east of LA but naturally maintain the essence of trap.” – DJ Jimbo Jenkins
