As evidenced by me posting this near the end of the day, it just goes to show the power of The Monday’s is certainly insurmountable.  After waking up mid-day and catching up on the day’s news I thought I’d share with you the things I could have shared last week. This is week 25 of 52 of The Monday’s:

Download: The Monday’s Week 25 (Mediafire, 47mb)
update: Since there are so many tracks I slept on this week, I added a ZIP file of them all above, or individually linked after each one.

Music:

1.) Wu Tang Clan - “Ill Figures” ft. Raekwon ft. M.O.P. & Kool G Rap - This track comes compliments of Wu-Tang: Chamber Music dropping June 30th which couples original Wu-Tang MCs with classic 90s-era New York Rappers. I feel the Wu are sharpening their swords these days cause they’ve been on a hot streak of great material between Raekwon, Meth & Red, GZA & Ghostface. (MP3: Download)

2.) Grand Puba - “I See Dead People” ft. Rell & Lord Jamar - Another 90s-era Hip Hop group, Brand Nubian, has been pretty active lately putting together good vibes & tunes. This is Puba second single, off his forthcoming solo album Retroactive, dropping on June 23rd. Also take a look at what Brand Nubian member Sadat X has been up to (here). (MP3: Download)

3.) L.E.G.A.C.Y. - “TKO” ft. Phonte, Chaundon, & Sean Price - L.E.G.A.C.Y. has been stirring up some buzz with his soon to drop album, Suicide Music (June 16th). This track features some of my favorites including Phonte of Little Brother and Sean Price of Boot Camp Clik. (MP3: Download)

4.) Mr. Lif - “The Sun” (CWL RMX) ft. Cassettes Won’t Listen - Casettes Won’t Listen is a Indie Rock & Electronic project created by producer Jason Drake. CWL expects to release an intstrumental album titled, Into the Hillside, June 16th. In anticipation for the LP, CWL put out a free remix EP, (F)remix, featuring an eclectic set of independant artists. via OKP (MP3: Download)

5.) Santigold - “Anne” (King Britt Moody Mix) - King Britt drops the “Moody Mix” of the much remixed Santigold track “Anne.” It’s dark, has a hypnotizing dubstep rhythm, and is perfect for one of those long middle of the night drives back to the suburbs. (MP3: Download)

6.) Sean Bones - “Dancehall”  - This island flavored track from indie-artist Sean Bones is his first single off his debut album, Rings dropping July 21st. (MP3: Download)

7.) Franz Ferdinand - “No You Girls” (Trentemoller remix) - Here’s the remix of the dub-edit. (MP3: Download)

8.) Animal Collective - “Daily Routine” (Phaseone Remix) - St. Louis based Phaseone has been racking up buzzworthy reworks, and this Animal Collective remix is no exception. (MP3: Download)

9.) Anti-Pop Consortium - “Capricorn One” - This group hasn’t dropped a track since 2002, at a time where they enjoyed and lived at the heights of the experimental hip hop scene. This track is frantic from the beats to the lyrics, but has an odd cohesiveness. Their full length album, titled Flourecent Black, is due Oct 13. (MP3: Download)

10.) Thieves Like Us - “Drugs in My Body” (Teenagers Rmx) - A Teenagers remix of the popular indie hit “Drugs in My Body”. It’s sped up, crunchy, & dancefloor ready. (MP3: Download)

Music Videos: (after the jump)

1) Kasabian - “Fire” - Having conquered the Brits & becoming a fan favorite with their debut album, West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum & previous single “Vlad The Impaler“, the English electro-Brit-poppers drop the single & video “Fire.” The video is kinda cheese with the Desperado like guitar guns, but Bank Robberies scenes are always fun so it caught my attention nevertheless.

2) Raekwon - “New Wu” ft. Ghostface Killah & Method Man - Very few things make me happier than seeing Wu-Tang at their finest and this video/song is some of the hottest material they’ve dropped in years. I’m very excited to get my hands on Only Built For Cuban Linx II (Aug. 11th)  & Wu-Tang Chamber Music (June 30th).
