Not only do we know Canadians can count forward, we now know they can count backwards, as discovered by the 4th leak & apparent lead single off K-oS’s upcoming album called “4, 3, 2, 1″. The Cyber Krib supplies some additional information about the upcoming release.
The new album will be a double disc, the first CD being his new album, with the second CD being a remix album featuring 11-remixes from producers who will compete for $1000 per slot for the 11 features remixes.
The new album will be released through Universal Music, in a new deal since moving from EMI.
Ps. I love Toronto, I consider it a second home. The big neighbor has some great successes lately: Fiest, Broken Social Scene, MSTRKRFT, A-Trak, K-oS, Metric, & Stars to name a few. Check out my favorite electro duo from Toronto, AutoErotique (formerly VNDLSM) .

The third track from K-oS to hit the internets today, had I found this before I would have posted it with the other two. This track is called “Astronaut” and is apparently the second on his upcoming album Yes! It’s a bit crazier & more erratic, think Kanye West’s autotune effect + a Flying Lotus beat & a touch of K-oS’s signature soul.

I remember the first time I saw Blu live I was hooked. Having already listened to his LP alongside DJ Exile I knew that Blu was someone I wanted to keep a close eye on. His live performance at UC Riverside a little over a year ago was on point. He has a style and presence, which while many might compare to alot of the other Hip Hop acts coming out of LA right now, is really one of a kind. He’s dropped another LP alongside Mainframe under the group name Johnson & Johnson which received quite a bit of attention thanks to the success of “Below The Heavens”.
Blu continues to make noise, appearing on various mixtapes alongside various popular artists. That’s where the compilation mixtape “Blu:Drop the E” comes into play. Sometimes, everybody cannot keep up with all the mixtape their favorite artists appears on. Complied and released by WeDoItRightMag.com, this mixtape is a great way to catch up on what you have been missing out. Once you’re done listening to this, go out and pick up “Below the Heavens” and “Johnson and Johnson”. And for those of you who want to check him out Live, Blu along with two East of LA favorites DJ Exile and Wale will be the Key Club in Los Angeles, CA on January 29th. Let’s get a carpool going and roll out!!

If your sick and tired of that autotune effect, check out a couple Kanye West’s unreleased tracks. The first Payback is a track that FSD dug up from the vaults earlier today, and apparently its from early in Kanye’s career and features hometown hero’s Timmy G & Sly Poloroid. You can definantly tell from his verse on the track how his style & vocals have progressed. The latter dropped a few weeks ago and is a freestyle from Yay called Flute Flow.
