Tonight, Murs, Nipsey Hussle and the homies Noa James and Curtiss King over at Black Cloud Music took to YouTube to announce the full lineup for this year’s Paid Dues Festival, held yearly in San Bernardino, CA. This year’s festival finds the Inland Empire hip-hop scene chiefly represented as the ‘Hair God’ himself Speak!, Stevie Crooks and Black Cloud music are set to hit the stage, with headliners Black Hippy and an amalgam of ‘Classic’ and ‘New Wave’ acts. Also on the bill is Vince Staples, an artist East of LA had the pleasure of collaborating with in the past. For those who attend, don’t be surprised if you spot the whole UTB Life$tyle crew, which means you might get Cashius Green and Pheo to bless you with a live appearance.
To purchase tickets and all other info, visit the Paid Dues Festival site HERE

Opening up the Snoop Dogg show at the Fox Theater in Downtown Pomona tomorrow night. PacDiv is also performing! Doors open at 7:30
This Friday, 11/30/12, BrickToYaFace and Black Cloud Music are commemorating the release of Curtiss King’s first retail album Atychiphobia, with a Pac Div headlined show at the Inland Empire staple, The Vibe in Riverside. Anyone who is familiar with not just the Inland Empire, but Southern California hip-hop scene, has most likely come across a mention of Curtiss King at some point. As evidenced by his Paid Dues campaign and constant performances, this man’s grind is highly respected.
Above, stream the Villain produced single “Hella Close”; a bouncy, melodic track, sprinkled with enjoyably placed Rick Ross and Mike Jones vocal samples, in which Curtiss describes the struggles of an independent emcee seeking to make a career of the craft they treasure.
Atychiphobia is available for download on iTunes HERE
Next Wednesday, October 17th, Black Cloud Music’s Curtiss King will be performing on the same bill with Seattle’s Grieves, at the Inland Empire famous The Barn, located within UC Riverside. For more info, visit the UCR concert page here, or buy tickets directly from here.
